A Stage Is All The World

WHAT IS SOUTH BURNETT STAGES?

The aim of the South Burnett Stages Project is to bring more live performances into each town in the South Burnett region of Queensland. It is also to promote local talent and performances and to develop the venues in each town for live performances.

The project will start off in Kingaroy but will soon begin servicing as many towns around the South Burnett as possible. Our goal is to hold performances in any town that wants them. If you love the theatre, we can bring it to you.

Possible venues include, Blackbutt/Benarkin, Yarraman, Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai, Murgon, Goomeri, Kumbia and more. If you have a venue, we can organise a show.

The performances will range from local creations to global sensations.

LOVE LOCAL PERFORMANCES?

There are many wonderful groups in our area just waiting for an audience. These include:

The Nanango Theatre Company
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society
The South Burnett Community Orchestra
Blackbutt Singers
South Burnett Chorale
and many more...

It is our aim to support these performances in any way we can, through promotional services and practical support. If you have a group that you would like us to promote, please email us with your details.

THIS YEAR

This year's performances during the Kingaroy Trial will include:

Local Theatre - Rumours

LOCAL THEATRE IS BRILLIANT, SPREAD THE RUMOUR!

The NANANGO THEATRE COMPANY, sponsored by STANWELL and COUNTRY FOCUS, proudly present RUMOURS by Neil Simon. A hilarious comedy of deception by one of America's most deliciously devious playwrights.

When friends are invited to dinner for the tenth wedding anniversary of Charlie and Myra Brock, the last thing they were expecting to be served for dinner was a plate full of lies, scandals, rumours and chaos with the police knocking on the door.

Where are the host and hostess? Where have all the kitchen staff gone? Why isn't anyone answering the door? Whatever you do, don't tell the truth!
