HOW TO SUCCEED IN MUSICALS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING

After the roaring success of their last show, Oklahoma, in 2011, the South Burnett Musical Comedy Society is ready to present their next hilarious comedy, the runaway broadway hit, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

How to Succeed… is the story of an ordinary window cleaner, J. Pierrepont Finch, who has an extraordinary dream. After finding a copy of the book, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Finch sets off on a meteoric rise through the many levels and pitfalls of big business, overcoming numerous obstacles and accidentally discovering the love of his life along the way.

On the journey we meet the many strange and wonderful characters that keep the wheels of big business turning and we find out what it’s really like to survive the day to day battles and make a name for yourself in the cutthroat concrete jungle of corporate enterprise.

There are six performances of the show this season from opening night on Friday 17th of August through to closing night on Saturday 25th of August. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays with two special Matinee performances on Sunday 19th and Saturday 25th August at 1:30 pm. Show times are 7:30 pm for night time performances with the door opening for all performances at half an hour before the show.

Tickets are $20 for Adults and $15 for children, students, pensioners and concession card holders. Tickets can be pre-purchased (cash only) through Kingaroy Office Central on Haly St or you can book by texting or calling Liz on 0407 037 206 or emailing on Lschn4@gmail.com.

There’s not long to go so don’t miss the show.

A Stage Is All The World

WHAT IS SOUTH BURNETT STAGES?

The aim of the South Burnett Stages Project is to bring more live performances into each town in the South Burnett region of Queensland. It is also to promote local talent and performances and to develop the venues in each town for live performances.

The project will start off in Kingaroy but will soon begin servicing as many towns around the South Burnett as possible. Our goal is to hold performances in any town that wants them. If you love the theatre, we can bring it to you.

Possible venues include, Blackbutt/Benarkin, Yarraman, Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai, Murgon, Goomeri, Kumbia and more. If you have a venue, we can organise a show.

The performances will range from local creations to global sensations.

Local Theatre - Rumours

LOCAL THEATRE IS BRILLIANT, SPREAD THE RUMOUR!

The NANANGO THEATRE COMPANY, sponsored by STANWELL and COUNTRY FOCUS, proudly present RUMOURS by Neil Simon. A hilarious comedy of deception by one of America's most deliciously devious playwrights.

When friends are invited to dinner for the tenth wedding anniversary of Charlie and Myra Brock, the last thing they were expecting to be served for dinner was a plate full of lies, scandals, rumours and chaos with the police knocking on the door.

Where are the host and hostess? Where have all the kitchen staff gone? Why isn't anyone answering the door? Whatever you do, don't tell the truth!
